There’s something about September that feels like a fresh start. Summer begins to wind down, routines settle back into place, and we get a chance to refocus before the busy final months of the year arrive.
And while we love a good fresh start, it doesn’t have to mean completely changing everything. Sometimes it’s simply checking a few things off your list, getting back into a routine, and making a little more time for what matters most.
September Is Life Insurance Awareness Month
September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, making it a great time to check in on something that can be easy to put on the back burner.
Take a few minutes this month to ask yourself:
- Has anything changed in my life or family?
- Is my current life insurance coverage still appropriate?
- When was the last time I reviewed my beneficiaries?
- Do my spouse or family members know where important financial information is located?
Marriage, divorce, a new child or grandchild, retirement, a new home, or the loss of a loved one can all be good reasons to review your financial picture.
You may find that everything is exactly as it should be—and that peace of mind is worth the check-in!
A Little September Reset β¨
September is also Self-Improvement Month, but we’re not talking about reinventing your entire life. Small changes count!
Maybe this month you:
π° Check in on your financial goals
π‘οΈ Review your life insurance
βοΈ Double-check your beneficiaries
π Tackle something that’s been sitting on your financial to-do list
β€οΈ Make more time for your favorite people
βοΈ Plan something fun to look forward to
Financial planning isn't just about numbers. Ultimately, it's about creating a life you enjoy today while preparing for the life you want tomorrow.
